A leading technology firm in the UK is seeking a Marketing Intern to engage in project management and marketing performance analysis. The role involves supporting account managers, handling queries, and collaborating on marketing projects. Successful candidates will be studying for a related degree, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and demonstrate a desire to learn. This internship offers practical experience in a fast-paced environment where your ideas can make an impact.
Join us as an intern and discover the world of Canon, where we use imaging to transform our world. Here at Canon UK, we believe in creating an environment where our interns really can learn by doing and where they are given their own areas of responsibility right from the start of their time with us. That's why you'll be treated as part of the team from day one, encouraged to bring your own ideas to the table - and given the opportunity to really show what you can do.
Working within our B2B Digital Printing and Solutions business, you will be assigned specific tasks and defined projects that drive awareness and leads for our print and software products. Focussing on short‑term business needs and longer‑term strategic goals, you will use your analytical skills to monitor marketing performance and take appropriate action to resolve or elevate issues. You will work towards your own objectives, solicit feedback, design and execute project plans, identify measures of success, and generate ideas for improvement. Your commercial mindset and innovative thinking will allow you to demonstrate your passion in developing robust marketing concepts.
Occasionally you will represent Canon at events and exhibitions where you need to have confidence in supporting the Canon brand. You will provide support to our account managers and retailers by meeting and handling queries over phone, by email and face‑to‑face. You will also have ownership of a set project, key product area or an important retail account within the team, and work with the Sales team and Product and Channel team to support this.
You will also be part of a marketing project planning team and will have the opportunity to learn about best practice and to share your ideas in a compelling way. Working in collaboration with Product, Sales, and PR & Communications teams, you will provide additional support to the wider team on marketing activities as required.
Examples of the type of experience you may gain include working within direct and indirect routes to market; web and content management; campaign development and execution; liaising with design and print agencies; product management and launches; events; and more.
Additional 12‑month industrial placements are currently open for application within Canon UK, please ensure you are applying to the one that is the most relevant to you. Check our Career Hub.
If you apply, the next stages of the recruiting process could include a video interview and then a face‑to‑face, telephone, or virtual interview with the hiring managers. If selected you will then be invited to an assessment centre at our Head Office in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.
