Job summary

IA Interior Architects seeks a Junior Designer for its London studio. You will work under a senior Designer or Project Manager, developing ideas, drafting, and detailing while learning through hands-on tasks and client interactions.

The role requires an interior architecture/architecture degree, UK right to work, and intermediate Revit and Adobe skills. Office presence is required at least three days a week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an architecture, interior design or interior architecture programme.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Intermediate Revit skills.
• Intermediate Adobe Creative Suite skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating conceptual development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Work with design team to develop design ideas.
• Assist senior designers in detailing.
• Under supervision, develop preliminary space plans.
• Assist and learn the production of furniture & finish packages and cost estimating.
• Assist senior staff with verification of site details.
• Assist in field surveying of client spaces.
• Correct drawings redlined by others.
• Support information collection for client assessment; may attend interviews.

We are presently searching for a Junior Designer for our London, UK studio. The Junior Designer, while working under the direct supervision of a more senior Designer or Project Manager, performs a broad variety of drafting and/or design tasks. Responsibilities include:

• Work with design team to develop design ideas
• May assist senior designers in selecting fixtures and finishes
• Under supervision, develops preliminary space plans
• Assist and learn detailing
• Assist and learn the production of furniture & finish packages, along with cost estimating
• Assists senior staff with verification of site details to support design
• Assists in field surveying of client spaces
• Corrects drawings red lined by others
• Supports the team in collecting information for client assessment; may attend interviews, provide documentation support; developing skills working with Affinity program tool
  Include: must be in the office at least 3 days a week
• Graduate of an architecture, interior design or interior architecture programme
• Must have a right to work in the UK

• Ability to successfully demonstrate conceptual development and implementation in portfolio
