Galvan, a leading luxury womenswear brand renowned for its modern elegance and exceptional craftsmanship, is seeking an innovative and passionate designer to join the team.

You will be responsible for creating innovative and sophisticated womenswear that reflects our brand's aesthetic and ethos. You will work closely with the Creative Director and Head of Design to develop collections that resonate with our clientele while ensuring that each piece aligns with the quality and craftsmanship expected of the Galvan brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Create seasonal womenswear collections that showcase creativity and innovation while adhering to the Galvan design philosophy.
• Research and analyze market trends, fabric innovations, and customer preferences to inform design decisions and maintain competitive relevance.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, garment specifications, and material swatches to guide the production process.
• Collaborate with pattern makers and technical teams to ensure accurate execution of designs, focusing on fit, fabrication, and construction.
• Oversee the fitting process for samples, ensuring that garments meet the desired aesthetic and quality standards.
• Make necessary adjustments based on fitting feedback to refine the design before production.
• Work closely with the Creative Director to curate cohesive collections that effectively communicate the brand’s vision.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to contribute to promotional materials and product launches, ensuring alignment between design and brand messaging.
• Coordinate with the atelier team to manage the flow of sample production and ensure timelines are met.
• Maintain a strong relationship with the production team to communicate design intentions and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
• Stay informed of current fashion trends and insights to continually evolve the design process and product offerings.
• Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, and seasonal narratives to the creative and executive teams.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Proven experience as a womenswear designer, preferably within a luxury or contemporary fashion brand.
• Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design, creativity, and understanding of the womenswear market.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with 3D design tools is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric qualities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of the Galvan brand values.
