Job summary

The Secret Garden School in Solihull, part of Witherslack Group, is seeking a Designated Safeguarding Lead. You will liaise with agencies, parents and staff on wellbeing and safeguarding, and report to the Head Teacher while collaborating with teams across locations.

The school plans expansion to two sites from September 2026. Salary £36,581 - £46,579 plus excellent benefits. A Full UK driving licence and a CPD safeguarding portfolio are essential.

Qualifications

• CPD portfolio related to Safeguarding and Child Protection.
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem-resolution skills.
• An empathetic approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents and staff on wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Report to Head Teacher and collaborate with other WG teams across locations.
• Ensure safeguarding and child-protection matters are addressed effectively on a daily basis.
