£11,123 to £11,478 actual per annum

Term time only (39 weeks per year), 19 hours per week

Westbourne Academy are looking for a Design & Technology Technician who strives to share their passion for education with our students and join our dedicated team to uphold the Academy’s vision and values.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is self‑motivated, to provide an efficient and effective technician support service to the school’s Design & Technology Department in order to achieve the highest possible standards and promote the academy ethos of STAR. You will relish the opportunity to work with young people in a vibrant and dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and consistently embody our high expectations
  • Use your own initiative to support students and teaching staff by preparing equipment and materials and supporting classroom practicals and demonstrations
  • Deliver practical support to the Design & Technology Department and promote the academy ethos of STAR
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share innovative ideas and improve learning experiences
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a relatable role within an educational establishment (desirable but not essential)
  • A grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths
