Secondary Design & Technology Teacher

Milk Education are seeking a skilled, creative, and resilient Design & Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in Liverpool. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology, delivering both practical and theory-based lessons across relevant specialisms (such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering). This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
  • Ensure a safe and well-managed workshop environment, adhering to health and safety requirements
  • Inspire creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to support learning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
  • Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Design & Technology - able to teach KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures within a D&T setting
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
