Design Technology Teacher

Witherslack Group – Cumberland School – Full time

We are looking for a teacher who can support children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will help them learn, develop abilities and raise self‑esteem. Resilience and dedication are essential.

You will work within a supportive environment that includes in‑house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals. Our school offers well‑resourced classrooms, a new Key Stage 4 vocational centre and the Cruyff Foundation special Cruyff Court.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Design Technology lessons to pupils with diverse needs, including ASD and SEMH.
  • Plan, develop and assess lessons that enable pupils to progress and build self‑confidence.
  • Provide individualised support and work closely with support staff to meet pupils’ learning goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external agencies to promote pupil wellbeing.
