Qualifications

Position: Design & Production Engineer

Location: Daventry

Salary: £35,000- £45,000

Position Overview
  • Use of Catia V5 (surface, solid and 2D) to design exhaust systems and other automotive parts with consideration for customer CAD and/or packaging data.
  • Creation of CAD data and drawings for customer approval.
  • Design, development, adjustment and commissioning of tools, jigs and fixtures for both prototype and production use and to coordinate the assembly.
  • Work in accordance with any legislative or company requirements for health, safety and environment.
  • Work as part of the wider Engineering Design Team to achieve high‑quality objectives within demanding timescales.
Position Requirements
  • HND/ Degree level, ideally in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience of working within an engineering design and manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of the automotive industry, although a military vehicle background would be considered similar.
  • Knowledge of TS16949 / IATF 16949 an advantage.
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 EMS an advantage.
  • Six Sigma training advantageous.
Remuneration
  • Salary: £35,000- £45,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Working hours: Monday – Friday 8–4
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
