Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering or relevant motorsport experience.
  • Experience in Formula One or a fast-paced motorsport environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the multi-layered Bill of Materials (BoM) structure.
  • Drive the evolution of PLM systems.
  • Create and maintain configuration data for event-specific BoMs.

We are seeking a Design Process Engineer to play a pivotal role in driving excellence within our engineering processes, supporting the development and maintenance of the Bill of Materials (BoM), and enhancing design methodologies that enable our world‑class performance on track.

As a Design Process Engineer , you will support the core of the engineering function, serving as the central point for maintaining and continuously improving our design best practice documentation and process guidelines. You'll also advocate the Design for Manufacture across our technical teams driving greater efficiency and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the multi‑layered BoM structure and associated data across the engineering department.
  • Define annual Skeleton BoM in collaboration with senior engineering leadership.
  • Drive the evolution of PLM systems (preferably Enovia / CATIA 3DX).
  • Create and maintain configuration data for event‑specific BoMs.
  • Develop, document, and uphold design release standards and workflows.
  • Maintain the proprietary parts catalogue and ensure accuracy across releases.
  • Liaise with manufacturing, quality, and production to ensure seamless integration from design to track.
  • Develop and enforce Engineering Reference and Operational Procedure documents.
  • Promote and embed Design for Manufacture principles across all relevant functions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or relevant high‑level motorsport experience.
  • Prior experience in Formula One (or fast‑paced motorsport) environment, with a deep understanding of engineering standards, design release processes, and configuration management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Project, and Word.
  • Familiarity with CAD and PLM systems (ideally CATIA 3DX & Enovia).
  • A detail‑oriented, highly organised professional who thrives under pressure.
  • Confident communicator who can deliver to senior stakeholders.
  • A natural problem‑solver, with a proactive and collaborative approach to continuous improvement.
  • Strong awareness and commitment to Health & Safety standards.
