Job summary

British American Tobacco UK invites applications for an undergraduate intern – design, based in London or Southampton for a 12‑month placement. You will contribute to packaging experiences for New Category products, exploring structure and visuals and creating renders and animations to enhance the total product experience.

The role runs in a fast‑paced R&D environment with mentorship and regular reviews; start is September 2027.

Qualifications

• Studying for a qualification in Industrial Design, Product design, Packaging Design, or Visual Design (or a related Design subject).
• Experience with design tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino, Keyshot, Figma, etc.

Responsibilities

• Exploring opportunities in packaging experience across the New Categories space.
• Ideate and develop packaging experience concepts with high structural and visual quality.
• Create compelling visualization packaging designs and experiences (renders and animations).
• Build cohesive user experiences across the New Categories packaging ecosystem.
