Job summary

NSR Associates in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Design Manager to lead the design development of a major industrial project from concept through construction. You will ensure buildability, cost efficiency, compliance with Eurocodes and British Standards, and integration with site operations.

You will coordinate with Project Managers, Site Managers, the Commercial Team and external consultants; review RFIs, support procurement when required, and drive value through practical, buildable design

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered or working toward chartership (ICE/IStructE)
• Clear communicator capable of concise, calm delivery

Responsibilities

• Lead the in-house design from concept through construction.
• Coordinate between construction teams, temporary works & geo-technical.
• Review and optimize designs; apply value engineering when possible.
• Support procurement and commercial inputs when needed.
