Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking a Design Manager in Edinburgh to lead the design process across the project lifecycle, ensuring timely, budget-compliant deliverables aligned with client requirements and regulations. You will work with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive collaboration and manage design risks.

You will oversee design deliverables, progress tracking, and KPI reporting, while mentoring the design team and coordinating with various parties to optimise efficient

Qualifications

• Proven Design Manager experience in construction.
• Degree or equivalent in Architecture/Engineering/Construction Management or related field.
• Knowledge of BIM and digital construction tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the design process across the project lifecycle to deliver on time and within budget.
• Manage design risks and ensure design solutions support efficient project delivery.
• Create and maintain design deliverables registers and progress trackers.
• Interface with internal teams and external design collaborators on behalf of the Project Manager.
• Represent the design department at meetings and guide the design team’s day-to-day performance.
