Job description

Overview

Based in Bristol, United Kingdom, Inivos is a global med-tech company that provides specialist decontamination solutions, validated by automated digital reports, to healthcare and life science organisations, to support in eliminating the opportunity for acquiring infections.

We are relentless in our pursuit of excellence. We hunger for knowledge, challenges, and the constant evolution of healthcare solutions, which drives us to push boundaries, fostering a dynamic, innovative environment. Grounded in humility, we recognise the collective strength of our diverse team. We acknowledge that collaboration fuels innovation. Our humility allows us to learn from each other, embrace feedback, and continuously grow, fostering a culture of mutual respect and open communication. Intelligence is not just about technical prowess; it's about emotional intelligence, effective collaboration, and strategic thinking.

What are we looking for in this position?
  • Own the product vision. Demonstrate the product benefits as early as possible. Relentlessly challenge the product development direction to ensure best user value, market fit and company return on investment.
  • Pull the project through several defined product development milestones, leading a small team of Hardware, Software, Design and Verification engineers. Identify and lift roadblocks to ensure that milestone deliverables are being met at pace.
  • Drive the development of technology projects and scientific fundamental studies in order to ensure a solid foundation for the development of the product (in partnership with external SMEs and research partners).
  • With inputs from the team, establish the product’s system architecture, and interpret the Product Requirements Document (PRD) into sub-system functional and performance requirements.
  • Drive risk, safety and quality management for the project, via an FMEA process.
  • Understand regulatory compliance requirements and ensure they are accounted for in the product requirements and development processes.
  • Drawing from existing range platforms, create a UI/UX definition document that will serve as a communication interface between project stakeholders and Software Engineers.
  • Establish product validation channels in order to ensure that the project’s development direction is constantly kept in line with the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Leverage a network of SMEs, our Sales team and our Field Engineers.
  • Create and maintain the product BOM. Drive the manufacturing and procurement strategy, engage with manufacturing and supply partners, establish and drive down cost while ensuring supply chain robustness.
  • Ensure a smooth transfer of the project to Operations.
What will we need you to have?
  • Self-starter and motivated, shows drive to go after the biggest problems and takes it upon themselves to solve them
  • Willingness to do whatever it takes, and work outside of core role when needed, for the team’s success
  • Pragmatic approach to problems, while able to challenge the status quo and think out of the box to find solutions
  • Technically knowledgeable in a vast array of engineering disciplines to support and constructively challenge other engineers in the team. Able to win their trust and support.
  • Able to accurately formulate a problem, and specify the requirements for its solution
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal, for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Organised, can juggle multiple and very different activities
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
