Job summary

A leading construction recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Design Manager to oversee design consultants and ensure timely delivery of design-related information for construction projects. The ideal candidate must have a degree in a construction-related discipline and at least six years of experience in the industry. Proficiency in Microsoft tools and an awareness of client procurement routes is essential. This position is located in Tyseley, England.

• Support and mentor Design Coordinators on assigned projects.
• Ensure compatibility between Employer's Requirements and Contractor's Proposals.
• Oversee design activities during the construction phase.
• Chair and minute design meetings, ensuring information production aligns with programme needs.

Experience

• Strong understanding of various client procurement routes.
• Experience at pre-construction stage.
• Solid grasp of design and build (D&B) contracts.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of cost drivers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Viewpoint for Projects (4Projects) desirable.
