Job summary

Ambit in London seeks an experienced Design Manager to lead the design process across a range of projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, work with clients and contractors, and ensure designs are buildable, compliant, and aligned with project goals.

Reporting to the project leadership, you will drive collaboration, manage design programmes, review design information, and promote innovation and quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

The Role

As Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process from concept through to project completion. Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, you will ensure that designs are coordinated, buildable, commercially viable, and aligned with project objectives.

You will play a key role in driving collaboration, mitigating risks, and ensuring that projects are delivered successfully through effective design leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage design programmes to support project delivery schedules.
• Ensure design information is produced, reviewed, and issued in accordance with project requirements.
• Identify and manage design risks, constraints, and opportunities.
• Facilitate design reviews, workshops, and coordination meetings.
