Pay: £50,000 - 60,000 DOE per annum + package

Location: Bury St Edmunds

O'Neill and Brennan are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join a leading main contractor on a large-scale high value scheme in Bury St Edmunds.

The project will involve extensive upgrades to an existing building.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the design process relating to upgrades of an existing building
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for compliance and buildability
  • Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve design queries
  • Ensuring all design meets statutory regulations, client requirements, and project objectives
  • Supporting delivery teams with technical guidance throughout delivery phases
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Design Manager (or similar role) within the construction industry
  • Proven background working on large-scale high value (£100m +) schemes
  • Strong design management, coordination, and technical review skills
  • Relevant qualifications and professional memberships are desirable
