Job summary

Talk Recruitment is seeking a Design Manager (Education Project) to lead design management on a major Essex education scheme. The role involves coordinating design inputs with the main contractor, architects and engineers to meet programme deadlines and ensure quality across all design packages.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in building sector projects, experience with D&B or design management roles, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in building sector projects, especially with main contractors.
• Previous roles as Design Co-ordinator, D&B Co-ordinator, D&B Manager or Design Manager.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Design Manager (Education Project) - Building / Construction - Essex - Long Term Local Project

An interesting new vacancy for a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager to work on a new multi million pound (£70m +) School project in Essex for a leading Tier 1 building main contractor.

Project starts soon and will be circa 5 years worth of local work on this scheme.

Requirements:

To be considered for this Design Manager role you must meet the following criteria:

• Knowledge of Building Sector.
• Previous employment as a Design Co-ordinator, D&B Coordinator, D&B Manager or Design Manager.
• Previous experience in building sector projects such as Commercial, Mixed Use, MOJ, Industrial, Education or Healthcare.
• Previous Main Contractor employment.
• High level of communication skills.
• Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).
