Product Design Engineer (Specilist Training & Development)

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 plus excellent on-the-job training, annual bonus, progression, 33 days holiday (increasing to 38 days with service) and great company benefits including life assurance, health & wellbeing, cycle to work, discounts etc. Early Friday finish.

Office based (early finish on Friday)

Location: Blackpool, Lancashire (commutable from: Preston, Thornton-Cleveleys, Lytham, Kirkham, Longridge, Fulwood, Fleetwood).

Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to expand their design function, and they are now looking for product designers who are passionate about innovative design & bespoke solutions to join their successful team.

In this role you will join a fast-paced successful design team, and you will work on local & overseas projects from cradle to grave offering innovative solutions. You will work closely with sales, project management, procurement, marketing and technical teams on developing bespoke products within budget and to tight deadlines while meeting customer specifications.

The Role

• Design lighting products using 3D Design software (SolidWorks).
• Develop new & existing products and work on custom projects from cradle to grave.
• Participate in product testing, installation, risk reviews etc.
• Work closely with sales, project management, procurement, marketing and technical teams on developing bespoke products within budget and to tight deadlines while meeting customer specifications.
• Fully office-based role with early finish on Friday.
