Job summary

Brand Access Solutions in Ipswich, London or Duxford is seeking a qualified Design Engineer to join the South/South East Engineering team. You will produce drawings for access projects including Scaffolding, Mastclimbers, Hoists and QuikDeck® Suspended Access System.

This role offers exposure to challenging projects nationwide, with opportunities to develop technical skills and mentor junior designers.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
Strong knowledge of scaffolding and access sector essential.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Assess customer requirements on site to provide value-engineered solutions.
Produce drawings from customer requirements or estimating drawings with accurate calculations.
Attend meetings to present solutions and discuss proposals.
Provide briefings on drawings to the operations team and support during erection.
Oversee erection from an engineering viewpoint ensuring drawings are followed and safe.
Ensure designs comply with health and safety and clearly identify hazards on drawings.
Revise drawings as required due to changes in specification or site conditions.
Maintain efficient administrative tasks and document project progress.
Mentor and train new members of the design team and promote team culture.
