Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Derby

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (3:30pm finish on Fridays)

Type: Permanent, Days Only

Responsibilities

We are looking for a design engineer with a strong mechanical design background to join our team in Derby. This is a permanent, full‑time role with a well-established business specialising in bespoke machinery for product handling solutions.

You'll be using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to design machines used in handling and packaging for some of the world's leading blue‑chip manufacturers of biscuits, cookies, and snack foods. Our systems are highly customised and built to handle a wide variety of product shapes and sizes.

We're open to candidates from different industries, as long as you have solid design experience and proficiency in 3D CAD software.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
• Strong background in mechanical design
• Experience in machinery design, conveyor/bespoke machinery with a focus on product handling solutions
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
