A prominent global energy job board is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent role in Queensferry. The successful candidate will work for a well-known manufacturing company and will require a degree in Mechanical Engineering along with extensive SolidWorks experience. The position offers a salary between £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • 3D CAD modelling and detail drafting experience, ideally with SolidWorks.
  • Able to manage a project from client enquiry through to final design.
  • Very experienced in 3D SolidWorks, covering fabrications and rotating parts.

  • Carry out detailed 3D designs of mechanical parts using SolidWorks.
  • Understand basic fabrication processes from a design perspective.

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer (PERMANENT)

Salary: 50-55k

Location: Deeside Industrial Estate

Hours: 8am-5pm Mon-Friday

Overview

Our client, based in the Deeside area, are looking for experienced Mechanical Design Engineers on a permanent basis. The roles are permanent and will pay between £50,000 - £55,000 per annum. You will be working for a well-known manufacturing company, with a number of manufacturing sites, and in a purpose built design office.

Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training and experience
  • 3D CAD modelling and detail drafting experience (ideally SolidWorks)
  • Able to manage a project, from client enquiry through to final design and meet associated deadlines
  • Have the ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve
  • Have recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Be very experienced in 3D SolidWorks, covering fabrications, rotating parts, sheet metal and welded components/fabrications
  • Able to carry out detailed 3D designs of mechanical part using SolidWorks
  • Understand basic fabrication processes from a design perspective
