Role

Responsibilities

• Working directly for the Senior Design Engineer, assist in setting up parametric models that run automatically in conjunction with our ERP system, these models automatically produce drawings, DXF files, BOMs & cut lists for the manufacturing team to use.
• Apply a continuous improvement mindset to enhance the speed and quality of outputs produced by the design team.
• Develop and improve new and existing products to reduce costs and improve manufacturing lead times.
• Produce CAD drawings for new or improved products using industry standards.
• Ability to deal with multiple projects concurrently.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to investigate and resolve problems with existing designs. Participate in reviews and make recommendations.
• Make corrections to models and drawings as and when requested to do so by senior staff.
• Provide support to other areas within the Engineering department during busy periods to ensure drawings are issued on time and customer deadlines are met.

• Location: Blackpool (Marton area) or within reasonable commuting distance.
• Shift: 36 hours Mon - Thurs.
