Mechanical Engineering in Hampshire, a global engineering group, is seeking a Design Engineer to develop transducers for aerospace applications and manage design through to approved products. The role includes lifecycle support, testing coordination, and bid proposal input.
You should have aerospace exposure, experience with high-reliability components, and strong analysis skills. Independent work, clear records, and concise reporting are essential.
My client is based in Hampshire and is a global engineering group specialising in extreme environment components and smart sub-systems for aerospace, defence and energy markets. They currently employ 7,500 people across manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe and North America and have regional bases in India and the Middle East.
The purpose of the Design Engineer positions is to develop a range of Transducers which include pressure flow and high reliability transducers for use in aerospace applications. You will be responsible for all design processes through to fully approved products and support products throughout their lifecycle. The role requires you to provide engineering support to the Marketing Department as required, evaluate new product concepts as well as understand customer requirements including build phase requirements. You will contribute towards the professional content and timely production of bid proposals and liaise with other departments working with the project team. Arranging material/product test and validation is part of the role.
