Job summary

PE Global International is seeking an experienced engineer to design, plan and deliver air/fuel system development projects in the UK. You will communicate progress to peers and management and lead design reviews to secure cross-functional support for new designs and investments.

You will collaborate with suppliers to develop specifications, ensuring high-quality solutions and adherence to time and budget constraints. A Bachelor's in engineering with 6–8 years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6-8 years of engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals and powertrain components.
• Design experience with CAD Creo and PLM Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

• Design, Plan and deliver air/fuel system/component development projects to time, cost and quality goals.
• Communicate design and project status and key issues to peers, stakeholders and management.
• Lead design reviews to gain cross-functional business support for new designs, supplier nomination and capital investment.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop specifications and deliver quality solutions.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent knowledge/experience).
• 6-8 years of engineering or relevant experience.
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, engine components and/or systems and component development.
• Design experience:
  • Highly level of expertise working in CAD and PLM systems :
  • Experience of using CAD (Creo) to design powertrain components
  • Experience of using PLM systems (Teamcenter)
  • Experience designing powertrain and/or engine components.
