Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group on behalf of a UK-leading manufacturer in Hull seeks a Design Engineer to join the Product Development team. You will take designs from concept to manufacture, delivering high-profile projects and improving performance, weight and cost.

Key duties include creating CAD models and drawings, supporting change control and working with engineering, production and other teams to hit project deadlines. Strong 2D/3D CAD experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong 2D/3D CAD experience and attention to detail.
• Experience with BOMs and engineering change control.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes (injection moulding, extrusion, etc.).
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Interest in materials, product development and sustainable design.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain 2D/3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
• Develop CAD-led solutions to improve product performance, weight, cost and complexity.
• Support new product development from concept through to manufacture.
• Work closely with engineering and production to deliver projects to agreed timescales.
• Ensure components and assemblies meet relevant regulatory and approval requirements.
• Support engineering change and BOM management.
• Carry out change impact assessments and contribute to design reviews.
• Help develop and improve internal CAD systems, processes and workflows.
