The ideal candidate will have strong CAD capability, particularly in Siemens NX, and a degree in Engineering. Job Description
Design Engineer — Full Time — Derby/Solihull. This position is being advertised to form a pipeline of candidates for current and future positions within Civil Aerospace, therefore applicants should not expect feedback immediately. However, we will endeavour to review your CV in a timely manner.
As a Component Design Engineer, you will be part of the Global Mechanical Systems Capability function. You will create engineering solutions that satisfy functional and physical requirements symptomatic of Product System and Sub-System level environments. Crucially, the engineered solutions must exhibit robustness for manufacturing capability.
Working within ET&S (Engineering, Technology and Safety), you will be responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of component design definition artefacts for mechanical components and complex electromechanical assemblies i.e. documents, 3D models, 2D drawing definitions including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) that meets requirements. You will participate within an IPT described by Product Lifecycle System (PLS) and operate in accordance with applicable Rolls-Royce Management System (RRMS) policies and processes.
