Overview

JOB : Design Engineer
LOCATION : East Sussex
TERM : Permanent
SALARY : GBP 27,000 - GBP 34,000 per annum

My client work within design and manufacturing and they are looking to take on a Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the East Sussex area.

Responsibilities

• Working within the engineering and product development teams on projects
• Modelling parts using SolidWorks CAD software and using Keyshot
• Developing new concepts
• Taking these concepts to finished products
• Producing design proposals and engineered solutions to match the brief
• Ensure all drawings contain the relevant manufacturing data (BOM's)

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design or similar
• Ideally 1:2 years\' experience or more in the industry or placement experience may also be considered working in a similar Design Engineer position
• Proficiency with CAD software : ideally SolidWorks but are open to others
• Any experience using rendering software like Keyshot would be advantageous but not essential
• Have good technical/ engineering knowledge and experience
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and furniture/ timber design would be beneficial
• Time management skills
