Central Technical Services – Design Draughtsperson (m/f/d)

Ardagh Glass Packaging – Knottingley (UK)

Job Description

The jobholder is responsible to produce accurate surveys and design drawings of plant and equipment within our Ardagh Glass Packaging Europe (AGP-E) division.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate design drawings using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software when requested by the senior designer and/or Project Engineer.
• Carry out on site surveys and 3d scans as required at any of the Ardagh Group glass manufacturing facilities
• Provide project supporting services to the project engineers at any of the Ardagh Group glass manufacturing facilities
• Identify and put forward any improvements that can be made to a design in order to achieve the most suitable design for the given objective
• Produce associated documents to support the design drawings using software such as word, and excel
• Maintain an effective communication between colleagues in order to maintain an effective team
  
  

Requirements

• Experience of CAD (Computer Aided Design) software
• A good understanding of the glass manufacturing process and ergonomics
• Experience in Office 365 (Word, Excel)
• The ability to understand technical drawings
• Able to travel as the business requires
• Able to operate survey equipment such as laser levelling, 3D scanner and measuring devices (desirable but not essential as training will be provided)
