Job Title: Design & Development Engineer
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum

We are supporting a growing engineering and manufacturing business in High Wycombe who are looking to recruit aDesign & Development Engineer with strong SolidWorks experience. This role will suit someone who enjoys both hands‑on development and technical design, contributing to the full lifecycle of new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating high-quality 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Supporting the full product development cycle from concept through to production.
  • Improving and updating existing product designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Working with cross‑functional teams including production, quality, and suppliers.
  • Supporting prototype builds, testing, validation, and reporting.
  • Assisting in solving technical challenges and contributing innovative ideas to product improvements.
  • Producing technical documentation, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling, 2D detailing, assemblies).
  • Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in a design and development role within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Good understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
