Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a Design Coordinator for a major highways upgrade project in Leicestershire. This permanent, full-time role is on a hybrid site basis and will bridge consulting design teams, client and on-site construction delivery teams.

You will ensure design information is delivered efficiently, adheres to constructability standards, and complies with national highways standards. A CSCS card and relevant training are advantageous for applicants.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Coordinator or similar in civil/highways projects.
• Knowledge of major highways specifications (DMRB/NEC3/NEC4) and CDM compliance.
• CSCS card held and design management training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate multi-disciplinary design deliverables (earthworks, structural, road alignments, drainage, utilities).
• Serve as central interface between site operations, external consultants, stakeholders and client.
• Proactively manage RFIs, TQs and design changes using the project CDE.
• Review drawings for buildability and value engineering in line with standards.
• Ensure design phases comply with CDM regulations and mitigate site risks during design.
• Assist with coordination of as-built documentation, handover packs and QA records.
