Job summary

Frontline Construction Recruitment are working with a leading Tier 1 civil engineering and construction contractor to recruit an experienced Design Coordinator to join their Work-Winning / Pre-Construction team in Milton Keynes.

This role offers a hybrid working pattern with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 plus package. The successful candidate will coordinate design information, support bids, review drawings, and help transition to delivery within a major contractor.

Qualifications

• Experience within civil engineering, construction or infrastructure.
• Previous design coordination experience.
• Understanding of drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Experience working with consultants and design teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating design information throughout the pre-construction process.
• Supporting bids, tenders and work-winning activities.

Design Coordinator Pre-Construction / Civil Engineering

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + package

Frontline Construction Recruitment are working with a leading Tier 1 civil engineering and construction contractor to recruit an experienced Design Coordinator to join their Work-Winning / Pre-Construction team in Milton Keynes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Coordinator with experience in civil engineering, construction, infrastructure or groundworks, looking to develop their career within a major contractor.

The Role

You will support the coordination of design activities across bids and pre-construction projects, working closely with design consultants, engineers, estimators and project teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating design information throughout the pre-construction process
• Supporting bids, tenders and work-winning activities
• Coordinating consultants and external design teams
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
• Tracking design deliverables and programmes
• Identifying design issues and supporting their resolution
• Assisting with buildability and value engineering reviews
• Ensuring design information is accurate and delivered on time
• Supporting the transition from pre-construction into project delivery

About You

We're looking for a Design Coordinator with:

• Experience within civil engineering, construction or infrastructure
• Previous design coordination experience
• Good understanding of construction and design processes
• Experience working with consultants and design teams
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Good understanding of drawings, specifications and technical information
• Relevant construction, engineering or design qualification
• Tier 1 contractor experience would be advantageous
