Design and Technology Teacher (Part-Time)

Your new company

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join a team at a secondary school in the Teesside area. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Design and Technology to students in KS3 to KS5. This is a Part-Time job.

Your new role

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential in Design and Technology
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, innovation and critical thinking
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help students achieve their learning goals
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share best practice in teaching and learning, including the use of technology and other innovative approaches
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participating in extracurricular activities and supporting school events and initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) in Design and Technology
  • Experience of teaching Design and Technology at KS3 to KS5 level
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching and learning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents/carers
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to embrace new technologies and teaching methodologies
