Job description
Responsibilities

Managing the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service to patients and ensuring all administrative processes are efficient and effective to meet high standards of performance.

Driving forward excellent standards of customer service, taking action where levels of service delivery fall short of what is required or do not uphold Trust values.

Line managing a team of administrators, organising workload and cover, recruiting and inducting new staff members, identifying training and support required by individuals, and managing performance.

Ensuring timely access to care for urgent patients, working with MDT coordinators and the admin team, managing patient tracking lists and delivering high performance and patient care.

Providing day‑to‑day cross‑site operational management for the Dermatology administration team including recruitment, appraisals and continuous professional development for all admin staff.

Providing cross‑cover when required, ensuring a flexible and proactive approach and covering colleagues during sickness and leave.

Responsible for supporting delivery of the cancer waiting times standards for dermatology, focusing on achieving and maintaining the cancer targets.
