The post holder will manage the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service to patients. They will have responsibility for ensuring that all administrative processes are efficient and effective and enable the team and the Trust to meet high standards of performance. The post holder will have specific responsibility for driving forward excellent standards of customer service taking action where levels of service delivery fall short of what is required or do not uphold Trust values. The post holder will line manage a team of administrators and will be responsible for organising workload and cover, recruiting and inducting new staff members, identifying training and support required by individuals and managing performance. Key responsibilities also include ensuring timely access to care for urgent patients, working with MDT coordinators and the admin team. The post holder will manage patient tracking lists and deliver high performance and patient care.

You must possess excellent communication skills, working with deadlines and accurate keyboard skills are essential qualities that we are looking for.

Main duties of the job

To provide day‑to‑day cross‑site operational management for the Dermatology administration team including recruitment, appraisals and continuous professional development for all admin staff. Provide cross cover when required ensuring a flexible and proactive approach and cover colleagues during periods sickness and leave.

Responsible for supporting delivery of the cancer waiting times standards for dermatology, focusing on achieving and maintaining the cancer targets.

To liaise with the multidisciplinary teams, to facilitate improvements in quality of care.
