Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking support staff to assist nurse specialists in dermatology, phototherapy, and skin cancer pathways. The role involves monitoring vital signs, assisting in patch tests and minor surgeries, and providing patient education.

You will support the dermatology clinics and the skin cancer nurse specialists, manage telephone consultations, and help maintain clinical records in line with Trust policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurse specialists in phototherapy/PUVA and urticaria recovery area, monitor patient observations and alert clinicians as needed.
• Support patch test clinics, remove tests, and prep patients for results readings.
• Assist in minor surgery and post-operative care, including dressing and wound care.
• Support skin cancer nurse specialists with patient education, helpline, and documentation of telephone consultations.
