Job summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Phototherapy Nurse in Dermatology. You will join the East Dermatology team to administer phototherapy and support patients with skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

This 15-hour-per-week role is based at Waters Green Medical Centre with cross-cover to other sites as needed. The post requires a Registered Nurse with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary dermatology team.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse.
• Previous dermatology or phototherapy experience is desirable but training will be provided.
• Ability to work independently and as part of the dermatology team.
• Willingness to undertake relevant dermatology/phototherapy training and updates.

Responsibilities

• Administer phototherapy treatments according to clinical protocols.
• Monitor patients during and after treatment for adverse reactions and ensure safety procedures.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, skin care, and phototherapy risks/benefits.
• Record treatment plans, cumulative doses and adverse events for clinician review.
• Undertake regular risk assessments, audits and contribute to service improvements.
