A healthcare provider in Poole is looking for a full-time Personal Assistant in Dermatology. The role requires PA experience, excellent typing skills, and knowledge of medical terminology. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well‑motivated individual to join us as Personal Assistant within Medical Specialities providing PA support to the Dermatology Consultants.
This is a full‑time permanent position working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Main base location is Poole – cross‑site working possible and the potential of home working part time subject to the needs of the department.
You will be motivated, flexible, willing to learn, eager to play an effective part in a busy team environment and be able to use your own initiative.
You will have experience of copy typing and will have worked within a healthcare environment with Personal Assistant experience and knowledge of medical terminology.

Manage electronic diaries for the Consultants.
Manage Consultant e‑emails and action where appropriate.
Relieve the Consultant of administrative tasks not pertaining to clinical work wherever possible.
To maintain, co‑ordinate and organise appointments/meetings with staff, patients or their relatives and other visitors to the hospital such as company representatives.
Deal with queries involving confidential documents regarding a wide variety of information without recourse to others, recognising when issues should be referred to whom.
Typing clinic/additional letters to GP’s, patients and other Allied Health Professionals, using digital dictation when appropriate.
Look up, sort and file patients’ results.
Use the hospital computer system to access patient details. CRT must be always used when receiving and moving notes. This is mandatory within the Trust.
Photocopying, faxing, scanning and general filing.
Be responsible for outgoing post, meeting afternoon deadline.
Scan all new Choose & Book referrals.
