A leading healthcare provider in the UK seeks a role in Dermatology to assist with phototherapy, minor surgery, and patient treatments. This role involves working in an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient services. Ideal candidates will participate in health promotion and provide mentorship to other staff. This position is based at St George's Hospital, providing essential care to a diverse patient population.
The Dermatology Department consists of specialty clinics providing diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, including a phototherapy service, day care topical treatments, dermatology minor surgery, photodynamic therapy (PDT), complex wound management, cryotherapy, and skin camouflage (as per service needs). Our Dermatology service provides services across three sites: St Georges, Queen Mary’s Hospital, and the Nelson Community Hospital.
The CNS nurses working in Dermatology provide a variety of nurse‑led clinics and therefore all nursing staff are given the opportunity to acquire new skills and develop their expertise within this specialty. The Dermatology Unit at St Georges provides a Monday – Friday service with additional clinics held on a Wednesday evening and Saturday.
St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey. Our sites include St George’s Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary’s Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).
After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, the hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000‑strong workforce.
