Job description

We’re instructed on an in-house opportunity for a junior derivatives lawyer to join the treasury legal team of a large UK financial services company. This is the final hire into a newly formed team following a major restructure and offers growth and real ownership in the derivatives space as part of a broader role in a stable and growing business.

The role will involve advising on derivatives as well as wider wholesale funding work. You will be working on ISDA and collateral documentation and customer-facing hedging. The role will include broader treasury work including covered bonds, EMTN / US MTN, RMBS and Repo. You will enjoy close, day-to-day interaction with the treasury and finance business teams.

To be successful in this role you must be England & Wales or equivalent qualified from a top tier UK law firm. You should have a strong derivatives background, although securitisation or wholesale funding experience would also be of interest. Any in-house experience, such as from an investment bank legal team, would be beneficial and you should be commercially minded, confident and have good motivation for working in-house.

You will be offered a high-quality, steady flow of work, hybrid working and a strong and supportive culture in a purpose-led organisation.
