Hello, I’m Kate, the Nursery Manager at Derby Road.
With nearly 30 years of experience in early years, I’m proud to lead a team that understands the importance of quality care and the positive impact it has on children’s development.
Our nursery is thoughtfully designed across two levels with tailored spaces that spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Our baby suite offers a calm, home‑from‑home environment where little ones feel secure, settled, and supported every day.
Imaginative play is at the heart of what we do. Children love exploring our outdoor area, where engaging activities encourage creativity and development in a natural, inspiring setting.
It’s our collective group of Nurseries that we are happily part of here at Blossom Tree. Storal stands for high quality outcomes for children and are passionate about Early Years. Bringing your whole self is a must if that’s pink hair, being Neurospicy or having a unique pastime, we encourage it all. Your unique self is what makes our Nursery even better. Check out our website to learn about our leaders and the expertise they bring to our Storal community.
You are a Level 2 or above qualified, Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you're looking for an Early Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.
You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.
You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.
(We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, so if you can demonstrate the necessary values and enthusiasm for working within this environment, submit an application. Nothing ventured nothing gained).
You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan.... That will soon get completely derailed though... Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!
Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.
This nursery is part of Storal, a group of nurseries across England. It is our vision at Storal to be the nursery group that every family and educator wants to be part of. Our values are built around creating this environment for teams and children. We believe in high standards, praising each other, pulling together as a team whilst actively helping others to grow and that’s only the beginning of the story. We do what we say we do and if you align with this approach, then a Storal nursery is the place for you.
Storal is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All employees will be subject to background checks, enhanced DBS check and reference checks.
