NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group is recruiting a Band 6 Sister/Deputy Ward Manager for ward 5A at Royal Liverpool University Hospital, a key site within the group. The role focuses on nursing leadership, clinical guidance and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team on a busy HPB/general surgery ward.

An opportunity for a band 6 sister/Deputy Ward Manager nurse on ward 5A at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, one site of the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be part of the 5A family which prides itself on professionalism, teamwork and patient and colleague support. This ward, which includes an enhanced recovery unit, specialises in hepatic, pancreatic and biliary surgery and all general surgery.
This post is for a band 6 to work alongside the ward manager to help with nursing leadership on ward 5A. You will have excellent clinical and communication skills being able to give practical guidance to nursing staff, along with direction and support to the multidisciplinary team. In addition the post holder will be supporting the ward manager in ensuring good practice by taking part in audit, facilitating learning and development of nursing staff, and general management required to run a busy surgical ward.
Experience in surgical nursing is a necessity, HPB experience is an advantage.
