We arelooking for a highly motivated, full time Deputy Ward Manager with thepossession of a strong clinical knowledge base to support the ward manager. Lickeywards is a 26 bedded rehabilitation ward. We hold some of the traditional values of a CommunityHospital with high standards of person-centred care, time to talk to yourpatient, build relationships and be part of their recovery from admission todischarge.

You will be working closely with all membersof the multi-disciplinary team and offering support to families, which is a keyrole in ensuring the best possible care is given to the patients on this ward.Could this be you?

Main duties of the job

This post requires motivation, enthusiasm, anddemonstration of evidence based clinical practice as well as the ability toinitiate and sustain new/innovative ways of working. The candidate should be a dynamic andinspiring leader, with proven history of providing supervision to junior staff,be motivated and enthusiastic about your professional development and open toundertaking further academic qualifications. You must be flexible,approachable, compassionate, motivated, hardworking and be able to use your owninitiative whilst also having the ability to work under pressure. You mustpossess organisational and communication skills. You must be able todemonstrate excellent clinical knowledge and skills with the ability to supportnew and innovative ways of working which facilitate developments in nursingpractice as well as being self-motivated and committed to improving servicedelivery. We expect you to be dedicated with a positive attitude and ability toprovide patients an excellent service.
