Deputy Team Manager - Buckinghamshire Talking Therapies

Do you have excellent leadership and organisational skills? Are you experienced in managing projects?

We’re looking for a Deputy Team Manager for our North locality within Buckinghamshire Talking Therapies (BTT) service on a fixed‑term contract. This role is ideal for someone who wants to broaden their experience or take on new challenges. Previous experience in mental health or the NHS is preferable, but transferable skills from other sectors are also welcome.

As a valued member of our operational team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to provide a responsive, high‑quality, safe service for our patients. You will be expected to provide effective leadership and manage resources so that staff are well supported and patient care remains the priority.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, forward‑thinking, enthusiastic and motivated, and who works well in a team. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and clear communication are essential.

Please note this is a fixed‑term contract for 13 months to cover maternity leave.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in the operational delivery of our Talking Therapies service, ensuring we meet national guidelines and key performance indicators. You will align with the North locality, working with other operational and senior leadership colleagues to support staff and keep the service running smoothly, safely and effectively. A key attribute will be your ability to lead by example and adapt to the rapidly changing priorities of this vibrant service.

Staff wellbeing is a priority; you will support colleagues and contribute to wellbeing initiatives within the service.
