Deputy Team Manager

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager within our Permanence Service who has a proven track record in managing teams within the domain of Looked After Children/Children in our Care. You must be confident in applying legal proceedings and frameworks and possess a comprehensive understanding of the entire journey of young people in care. You should be adept at risk analysis and at fostering positive, long-term change. You are committed to nurturing a high-performance culture and keen to support the professional growth of your team members.

As an experienced Deputy Team Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Team Manager to support effective management and operational delivery within the social work teams. You'll be involved in decision-making, chairing meetings, and actively partnering with multi-agency teams such as Police, Health, and Education sectors to advocate for young people. Additionally, you will contribute to recruitment processes, induction, and training, ensuring effective supervision and championing professional development and career progression within the team. You will also take on the role of a Practice Educator.
