Main duties of the job

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of safe, efficient, and person centred care, and we are looking for someone with strong communication skills who is eager to advocate for patients and inspire colleagues.

As Band 6 Deputy Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting and coordinating day to day outpatient services, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care for both adults and children.

You will:

Provide visible leadership and act as a role model for high standards of nursing practice.

Coordinate patient flow and clinic organisation, working closely with consultants, nurses, and administrative colleagues.

Support staff development through supervision, appraisals, and training, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Contribute to service improvements and clinical governance activities, supporting the delivery of high quality outpatient care.

Work collaboratively with the Matron, Leadership Team, and wider multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure safe and patient centred services.
