A healthcare organization in Leigh on Sea is seeking a Deputy Team Leader for Practice Education in Theatres. The role involves supporting the practice education team, developing education strategies, and ensuring high standards in clinical practice. Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Deputy Team Leader – Practice Education, Theatres.
You will assist and support the practice education team in theatres in the facilitation and provision of education and training of all groups of the multidisciplinary theatre team in order to provide high standards of clinical practice and patient care.
Working collaboratively with the theatre manager and matron, as well as the practice education team leader, the postholder will help develop and deliver education strategies, encourage effective utilisation of resources and develop relations with the across-site practice education team to develop and maintain a standard training programme.
You must be an expert in theatres with high standards and excellent clinical skills with the ability to teach these skills to other staff.
You will have a passion for teaching and maintaining high standards, recognising where intervention is required. You will assist in the promotion and implementation of evidence-based practice.
Good communication skills are required and excellent people skills for high‑stress situations when they arise.
Deputisation for the team leader will be required.
There will be participation in clinical duties, working alongside learners in order to maintain own clinical skills and to monitor/audit the competencies of other staff.
