Overview

Willow Cottage Nurseries is looking for an exceptional Early Years Deputy Team Leader to work for three days per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as a job share with a current staff member. This is 30 hours per week. We are keen to seek an applicant with a passion for leadership and a vision for delivering the highest quality education and childcare. Would you like to work in a beautiful rural location with extensive outdoor facilities? We believe that our staff should feel valued and be part of a supportive team of childcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • As a Deputy Team Leader (job share) you will be involved in: Working in collaboration with the job share to ensure excellent communication and consistency.
  • Delivering and maintaining a professional standard of care and education with high expectations of all children and colleagues.
  • Inspire, motivate, and give direction to the team in order to provide the best possible care and education for the children in an environment which is inviting and challenging.
  • Sharing and role modelling professional knowledge and experience in line with current thinking around child development.
  • Supporting reflective practice, observations and planning in order to meet the individual needs of all children.
  • Meeting statutory requirements such as safeguarding, welfare, learning & development, SEND support and record keeping and supporting the team to maintain the same high standards.
Contract

This is a temporary position which will end on 12th April 2026; however for the right person we would consider a permanent contract once this has ended.
