This deputy sister/charge nurse role is essential to provide the safe and effective running of the A23 clinical area, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. Your role will involve providing direct care to patients as well as providing strong clinical leadership. It is essential you are empathic to the emotional needs of the women and their families attending GTU and A23. As a deputy sister/charge nurse you will be expected to be able to provide expert knowledge of gynae and early pregnancy complications on a 24/7 basis, working all shift patterns including nights. This post is suitable for staff who have emergency gynae and early pregnancy knowledge and experience. You must be confident and clinically competent to manage all areas of the service on a daily basis.

A passion for the delivery of high quality care is essential for supporting the needs of our patients. As a band 6 you will be required to demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate others and deputise in the absence of the senior leadership team.
