Deputy Room Leader - Pre‑School

Finchley

Salary: £28,000+

Start: December or January

We are recruiting for a Deputy Room Leader to join a welcoming, well‑resourced nursery in Finchley. This is a great opportunity for a confident Level 3 practitioner who is ready to step up or develop their leadership skills within a supportive pre‑school team.

The Role:
  • Support the Room Leader with the daily running of the pre‑school room
  • Lead the room confidently when required
  • Help plan and deliver engaging EYFS‑based activities
  • Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
  • Support with observations, assessments and learning journals
  • Maintain a safe, organised and stimulating environment
Hours:

Full‑time, 40 hours per week

5 days a week

Weekly rotating shifts: 7.30am‑4.30pm / 9.30am‑6.30pm

Nursery open all year round (closed only on Bank Holidays and for 2 weeks at Christmas)

Requirements:
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum)
  • At least 1 year of recent Day Nursery experience
  • Confident, reliable and passionate about Early Years
