Deputy Project Performance Manager At Jacobs, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting some of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes
By applying lean methodologies, you'll ensure the efficient delivery of complex packages, working closely with other Project Performance Managers and colleagues to provide seamless support to integrated project and client teams

As Deputy Project Performance Manager you will support some of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes applying lean principles to support the efficient delivery of a complex package of deliverables
Working unsupervised with minimal direction, you will own the delivery for selected work packages to ensure on‑time delivery in line with project governance and assurance requirements
You'll be co‑ordinating teams; managing priorities, balancing workloads and eliminating blockages, as well as reporting on performance and escalating issues to workstream managers
Building strong working relationships will be critical to ensure effective communication, even whilst working remotely with technical experts, internal stakeholders, and the client
You'll also be responsible for facilitating planning and problem‑solving workshops, driving decision making on complex issues and Lean tools and techniques (e.g. Collaborative Planning, Visual Management, Last Planner)
Experience in operating in a civil infrastructure / construction programme and / or project environment with multiple stakeholders / multi‑disciplinary teams
Experience with client engagement and relationship building
Strong presentation and communication skills
Some experience of using Task Management Tools (e.g. Asana, Monday.com, Planner), Power Query, PowerApps, PowerBI, and / or Power Automate
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Teams
You’ll be an investigative thinker with excellent problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail. You’ll be adept at managing the production of large work packages, with personal resilience and great organisational skills being the key to your success. You’ll enjoy working with varied teams and clients, fostering a can‑do attitude. Motivated and enthusiastic, you’ll have a personal drive for high quality work, continuous improvement and lessons learnt, and you’ll be comfortable constructively questioning the accepted norms, always seeking a better way.
